The Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and Keep America Beautiful have partnered with Trash Cans Warehouse, a recycling container supplier in Brattleboro, Vermont, to supply hundreds of new recycling containers to parks nationwide this summer.
As part of Dr. Pepper Snapple Group/KAB Park Recycling Bin Grant Program, the company will provide recycling bins to local parks such as playgrounds, sports fields, and natural habitats.
A total of 33 grants will be awarded to local and state governments. 710 recycling bins will be installed in various park settings with these grants.
Keep America Beautiful collaborated with Trash Cans Warehouse to develop two different custom recycling containers that provide park visitors with attractive and convenient recycling options.
For clear identification as recycling containers, both recycling bins feature the traditional recycle blue color. Clear labels and restricted openings of 5" diameter are used on each recycling bin to ensure best practices in public space recycling.
Keep America Beautiful worked closely with Trash Cans Warehouse to customize each bin with partner logos, as well as a QR code that can be scanned by the public to map out each bin's location.
“Trash Cans Warehouse is proud to supply recycling containers to the new and innovative Dr. Pepper Snapple Group/KAB Park Recycling Bin Grant Program," says Michael Alexander, president of Trash Cans Warehouse. Throughout the country, these unique recycling bins will be placed at high-profile locations.
"Trash Cans Warehouse was selected as the supplier for these containers by Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and Keep America Beautiful because we are able to create customized branded recycling containers that adhere to best practices for recycling in public spaces with clear graphics and restricted openings."
